Why Should I Hire an Advocate?

1. Your child deserves the best education possible, regardless of their unique abilities and needs.

2. There are numerous challenges currently within public special education, including: a limited amount of teachers/assistants to meet the unique needs of students, communication gaps between state legislatures/school boards/parents, and a lack of emphasis on inclusion. Without the assistance of a trained professional, it is difficult for parents to navigate these waters alone.

3. Hiring a lawyer is expensive and may not be received well by your IEP team. When parents are looking to better understand the IEP process and maximize your child's special educational services, the support from an experienced advocate is all you need.

4. You don't want to waste another year hoping that things will get better...they usually never do without strategic intervention.
