SAAG Gives Back!

At the Sanford Autism Advocacy Group (SAAG), we are honored to support local and national groups who help autistic and neurodivergent individuals to THRIVE! Each year, our team takes time to give back to non-profit organizations such as...
  • Autism Tree Project Foundation (ATPF): ATPF was founded in 2003 and currently provides over 200 community-based family events and services annually under their 19 programs, at no charge to families.
  • Sharia's Closet: A local San Diego non-profit that provides free, emergency clothing to individuals and families who are experiencing financial hardship or crisis.
  • Magnolia Science Academy: A local San Diego charter middle school with a STEAM focus
  • Feeding San Diego: a local San Diego non-profit who feeds families experiencing hunger and food insecurity through food rescue.

Annual Advocacy Internship Program
Each year, we support the next generation by providing 3-4 unpaid internships. Our interns are parents, siblings, and community members who have gained hands-on experience empowering families and professionals in the neurodiversity space. We are honored to provide this opportunity to our community, truly a win-win for all!

Scholarships for IEP Support
We recognize the value added when families have IEP coaching and support. We also never want finances to be a barrier. So, annually we offer a limited number of partial and full scholarships so that families can receive expert IEP advocacy support (including attending meetings alongside them).
